Intuition Speaks Quietly - But Never Randomly

Intuition Speaks Quietly - But Never Randomly

I was talking with a friend recently about the little hunches we get - those quiet inner nudges that seem small at the time but make so much sense when we look back.

It reminded me of something that happened many years ago.

I was about seven or eight months pregnant, rushing out the front door one morning and as I went to pull the door closed, I became aware of a question in my mind:

“Do you have your keys?”

“Yes,” I answered quickly to myself - and pulled the door shut.

Two steps later I realised…

I didn’t have my keys.

Suddenly my morning involved me standing on top of the old metal bin under the kitchen window, removing the screen, prising the window open and climbing inside in a very pregnant state, thinking

“I knew I shouldn’t have worn the dress today.”

But here’s the interesting part.

The guidance had actually been there!

All it would have taken was one second to pause and check.

I imagine you’ve had moments like that too.

A thought pops into your mind…
you brush it aside…
and later realise it was actually guidance.

Over the years I’ve noticed so many of these moments.

Intuition rarely arrives loudly.
It’s usually a quiet thought.
A gentle nudge.
Someone pops into your mind and you decide to call them - only to hear, â€śWow, I was just thinking about you.”

The world around us can be noisy and busy, constantly pulling our attention outward.

But beneath all of that, guidance is always there.

Not only for big decisions in life, but for the small everyday moments too.

The first step is believing that guidance exists.

The second is becoming aware of how it speaks to you.

Sometimes it's a thought that drops in unexpectedly.
Sometimes it’s something you notice repeatedly.
Sometimes it’s simply a feeling.

For example, I have this thing that if I see a Dalmatian, it is confirmation that I am on the right track. And I can tell you, I see Dalmatians at the most unexpected times.

Intuition is really just tuition from within.

That inner part of us connected to something far wiser than our busy surface mind.

And the final step?

Acting on it.

Every time you notice and respond to those quiet nudges, you strengthen your trust in them. It builds what I like to think of as a faith muscle.

At first it can feel a little strange.

But the more you follow the guidance, the clearer it becomes.

So notice the quiet thoughts that drop into your awareness.

Pause.

Listen.

And see what happens when you follow them.

Have you ever had a moment where you ignored a quiet nudge — and later realised it was guidance?

If you have, I’d love to hear your story. Simply hit reply and tell me. With your permission, I may even share a few on social media, because the more we hear these stories, the more we realise the many ways guidance is quietly at work in our lives.

The question is simply whether we pause long enough to hear it.

With love,
Di ♡

Sometimes we simply need space to pause and come back to what is truly ours.
