Is This True?
We all have things we say about ourselves without giving them much thought.
"I'm just not good with money."
"I've never been a confident person."
"I'm hopeless at sticking to things."
"I'm too old to start again."
"That's just the way I am."
And we say them with such certainty!
But do you ever stop and wonder where these ideas come from?
I’m fascinated by how much of our lives we live from ideas that we've accepted as true -
We might have heard them as we grew up, experienced something that seemed to confirm them, or repeated them so often that they've just become familiar.
And familiar can feel very much like truth.
The idea “I’m hopeless at sticking to things” doesn’t sound like an idea - it sounds like it’s a truth!
But just because it sounds true, doesn't necessarily make it the truth about you.
Have you ever stopped to question some of the ‘truths’ you’ve been telling yourself for years?
What might become possible if you no longer accepted that idea as the truth about you?
♡
This week I put together a little 5-Question Belief Check for you.
It's not about analysing yourself to bits or trying to fix anything.
It's simply five questions to help you recognise an idea you may have been living from, and decide whether it's one you still want to carry forward.
[DOWNLOAD YOUR 5-QUESTION BELIEF CHECK]
You may find that some of the beliefs you've been living from are actually quite absurd when you stop to question them!
So, if you're going to choose beliefs to live by, why not choose some that support what you want, rather than what you don't want?
Like, "I know everything is working out for me" or "The more relaxed I am, the more I succeed."
They might sound a little absurd at first, but then again, so do some of the things we've been telling ourselves for years!
Have fun with this.

An Invitation for November
Are you beginning to think about planning for 2027?
Planning is powerful when you set your intentions from a clear understanding of who you really are, what you're capable of, and your role as a co-creator — rather than from the limitations you've learned to accept along the way.
On Friday 27 November, I'm bringing together a table of just 8–10 people for a day of teaching, conversation and reflection as we explore the complete BEING HUMAN framework — Life. Mind. Heart. — and begin consciously planning for the year ahead.
Friday 27 November | 10am–4pm
The Library Room, Stirling Hotel
If this sounds like you, I invite you to join us at the table. ♡
