The Raw Material of Creation

Often, in the hustle of daily life around us, it's easy to just drift along. Doing the do.

These letters are an invitation to pause for a while, reconnect with what’s inside, and live a little more unapologetically you.

How fitting that spring is just around the corner!

I feel like I’m bursting with a beautiful and powerful awareness that was likely seeded about 10 years ago when I first began this work. 

Back then I was eager to understand how to do life in the best way possible.

I was curious … what does living authentically really mean?

I knew we had a power in us - this Life energy.

I could feel its power - even though it’s not easy to describe in a tangible way.

I had watched it leave a human body - I knew that there’s no power in us when it’s gone.

My logical mind said “What is the raw material we’re working with here?”

If Life is ‘just’ energy…what IS that energy?

If I asked you “What is water?” or “What is electricity?”…. you’d likely tell me how they behave as you described ‘what’ they are.

So - my question was “What is Life energy?”  (a fair question when we are looking to create a life with it, don’t you think?)

How does it behave?

What are its qualities?

And what is the process?

If we’re here to create, using the Life in us - there must be a process!

It’s delighted me to discover that yes, indeed, there is a natural process to creation in the individual.

And the very first step in the process of creating anything is to see it!

And I don’t mean just with our physical eyes, but more so with our inner eye of awareness…what am I aware of that I want to be, or do or create?

Have you ever thought about that? The fact that you are aware? 

The first quality of the Life power in you is indeed light. Light is awareness - consciousness. The Life power in you is inherently aware.

And that might not sound particularly life-changing at first.

But think about this…

If you're not aware of something, in a very practical sense, it doesn't yet exist in your world.

Think about something you've discovered that completely changed the way you saw yourself, your business, your relationships or your possibilities.

It may have been there all along.

You simply couldn't do anything with it until you could see it.

And that's why awareness matters.

The moment you see something, it becomes available to you.

Over the coming letters, I want to share with you what I've come to understand about the qualities of this Life in us — and the natural creative process they reveal.

But for this week, simply notice.

What are you most aware of?

Because what you can see, you can do something with.

It’s an amazing life experience we are a part of …. perhaps more amazing than you might have ever imagined.
